Living a Malaysian Life

Eid Holidays ’09

We left for Malaysia yesterday to start the Eid holidays. The kids were looking forward to the trip all week, mainly because of the plane ride and the associated cartoon inflight movies.

Wan and Neil graciously invited us over for Iftar so that Linda would not have to prepare food, and then they also drove us to the airport for the early morning flight.

We made full use of the facilities available at the airport, like the kids strollers. It was 2 in the morning, so the twins were a bit groggy. Travelling in these help expedite the walk towards the holding gate.

Dina took this shot of Icad and me while we were having our sahur at the airport prior to departure. By the time we boarded and the plabe took off, we would not have time to eat onboard, travelling eastwards, the imsak time would be a lot quicker than time in dubai.

The kids were great onboard. When we arrived at the gate, the staff told us that we would not be sitting together as they gave us an upgrade to Business Class. So while Linda took the offer to sit in front and get pampered, I got stuck in the cattle class with the kids!

Back in KLIA. The twins love the train ride from the gate to the main terminal building! It rained heavily when we arrived at the house and it was such a blessing.
