Living a Malaysian Life

Phew…

Its been awhile since the last post, and that’s due to me being so busy with the move, work and basically the normal day to day schedule.

Was in KL for a short trip, and it was a nice food/shopping journey at the Giant in Permata.

Went over again to the new house, this time to get a quote from the landscaping people and also to take measurements for the curtains. With a design that has a lot of the interlinked stones, the quote estimate comes close to 10k, a lot of money to pay for a rental if you ask me. Of course the guy insists that he is giving us the ‘Asian/Muslim’ as opposed to the standard Mat Salleh deal, but it still feels like a lot for some grass, trees, stone and sand.

Dragging the kids everywhere as we make our journey up and down Emirates Road to the new house. The heat, the excitement and all the jumping puts a toll on them. Icad knocked out on the journey home after one of our jaunts.

The weather has also not been kind to our predicament, its either really hot and windy, or really hot and sandy, which basically means the wind has thrown up the sand!

All the sand in the air makes for a very interesting sunset. One of the needles that sticks out into the sky is the Burj...reminds me of the Tower of Sauron from the Lords of the Rings. Still think the KLCC twin towers is waaaay more beautiful.
